TI-84 Plus CE games in full colour
The TI-84 Plus CE has a colour screen and a fast eZ80 processor, so it can run proper games. CalcX turns it into a small game console: a home screen with a live clock and battery, six games, Notes, a Clock and five colour themes, all opening from your APPS menu.
What is in CalcX for the CE
- Snake, free forever
- Flappy, Chess, Calc Royale, Tic Tac Toe and Merge, each with a free 15-minute trial
- A ninja boot intro in high resolution
- Five themes: Midnight, Light, Forest, Sunset and Purple, with a live preview
- Notes, a Clock that can set the calculator date and time, and an Apps list
- Lives in Archive as an app, so a RAM clear does not delete it
Built to feel quick
CalcX redraws only the parts of the screen that change, so menus, Settings and code entry respond straight away instead of flashing. Games like Merge use whole-number physics to stay smooth even when the box is full.
What you need
A TI-84 Plus CE, a computer with TI Connect CE and a USB cable. On newer operating systems you also need arTIfiCE to run C programs, and Cesium is recommended. The install guide covers each step and shows which OS version needs what.
Free trial and prices
Make a free account at calcx.store, add your calculator, and you can download CalcX and get a free trial code. Play every game for 15 minutes in total. Games are $2.50 CAD each or $9.99 CAD for all five. Details.
Frequently asked questions
Which calculators does CalcX support?
CalcX is built and tested for the TI-84 Plus CE. Other calculator models are not supported, so use the TI-84 Plus CE for the colour version and a TI-84 Plus or Silver Edition for CalcX Lite.
Will CalcX be deleted if I reset my calculator?
CalcX is installed as an app in Archive, which survives a RAM clear. A full reset or an OS reinstall removes it, and you can install it again from your account.
Is it safe for my calculator?
CalcX is an ordinary C app that runs like any other CE program. It does not modify the calculator operating system.
